GPAutotrack — Ghost Practice Auto Billing

In Progress

A smart billing automation system developed for MB Attorneys and presented via live demo. Attorneys currently log all their work manually into Ghost Practice — a time-consuming process that reduces productivity. GPAutotrack solves this by acting as a listener that automatically tracks time spent across Microsoft 365 apps (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and maps activity to billable matters. Attorneys review a draft at the end of the day or early morning before pushing it to Ghost Practice — eliminating manual entry entirely. Also includes an Outlook add-in button that integrates directly into the attorneys' existing workflow.

What Is Qlik and Why BI Developers Should Care

Most developers haven't heard of Qlik until they land a BI role. Here's a breakdown of what Qlik actually does, how it differs from PowerBI, and why mastering it gave me an edge as a junior developer in a data-heavy environment.

What I Learned Presenting a Live Demo to a Law Firm

Walking into MB Attorneys to demo GPAutotrack was a different kind of pressure. Clients don't care about your stack — they care about their problem. Here's what I learned about presenting technical solutions to non-technical decision makers, and why understanding the client's workflow matters more than the code itself.

Building an API That Listens: How GPAutotrack Tracks Time Automatically

Most APIs respond to requests. GPAutotrack works differently — it listens. Here's how I built a REST API that acts as a passive listener across Microsoft 365 applications like Teams, Outlook, and Word, maps activity to billable matters, and prepares billing drafts without the attorney lifting a finger.

How to Add a Custom Button to Outlook Using an Add-in

One of the most surprising things I discovered while building GPAutotrack is that you can embed a custom button directly inside Outlook.
